You like to read, don’t you? You like stories that are weird and compelling and crazy and maybe even a little—or a lot—true. You like being sucked into another world, and spit out at the end of 3 or 30 pages with your head spinning and emotions churning.
Well, so do we.
Katie Cotugno and Rebecca A. Flanagan, who brought you the 2010 Writer’s Challenge, have joined forces once again to found Mightier Magazine, an online literary rag dedicated to memorable characters, sumptuous prose, and generally bringing the creative funk. Mightier was born from the notion that literary magazines don’t have to be crusty or predictable or high-brow. Mightier will feature an eclectic mix of fiction and nonfiction, from wee experimental microfictions to all-encompassing literary memoirs, and everything in between.
What is most important to the ladies at Mightier is that the pieces we publish be the funniest, saddest, ballsiest writing we can get our grubby paws on. We want to yearn for what’s going to happen next. We’re guessing you do, too.
Submissions for our premier issue are now open. Please see the Submission Guidelines for more information.
